When Aubrey (the wife) and I were getting our nails done I came across a Groupon for a corn maze, pumpkin patch, kinda place. Of course it being October I got really excited because of course being a true adult like myself - WHO THE HECK DOESN’T WANT TO GO TO A PUMPKIN PATCH BEFORE HALLOWEEN?!
So Aubrey and I decided we were going and bring our men along with us, we picked and date, and before you knew it - bam, we were at Yesterland Farm!
It wasn’t until we got there that we noticed this place was not a normal pumpkin patch place. That Yesterland Farm, saying it was a family friendly place, was actually geared towards er.. families (by families I mean with like wee humans and the smaller humans that can actually talk and walk).
I was in my element (since let’s be honest I’m like kid in an adult body) while the other tree in my party (the real adults) were not so much in their element. However, they went forth into Yesterland Farms with me because:
1. I had already purchased the Groupon and one must not let a Groupon go to waste
2. We just drove an hour
3. I wanted a motherfuckin’ pumpkin
2. We just drove an hour
3. I wanted a motherfuckin’ pumpkin
So onwards we went...
Aubrey got super excited about the pig races. Apparently pig races here in Texas can be a very big thing. However, these pigs were not very excited to race, and in fact, did not want to race one bit. It was very sad.
However, they did have a pretty cool looking petting zoo that we hit up after the not very good pig running race thing. They even had really talkative turkeys that definitely would’ve picked your eyes out if they were allowed out of their cage.
Look my ass met a real ass, hahaha.
My Group:
After the awesome sauce petting zoo we started exploring around and we found a nice little area that was setup for photos. So of course, we took more obligated fall/pumpkin photos.
After our obligated fall/pumpkin photos I found small baby animals that you could go touch and feed! So the wife and I went in as the men stood outside, debating how they would off themselves if they had to continue this little outing for five more minutes..
I LOVE MINI COWS!
Eventually we went through a corn maze. That was so exciting. After the corn maze Aubrey spotted this massive rocking chair that I had somehow missed at the entrance of this place.
At the end Robert and I broke off from Aubrey and Dustin. Aubrey and Dustin went to go get an expensive, like $8 sugar filled lemonade, while I went to go hunt down which pumpkins I wanted.
Here were the pumpkins Robert and I ended up with (Robert was originally not going to get a pumpkin, but a few puppy dog eyes later and he agreed to get one and carve it with me when it got closer to Halloween)
